The Unheard Love Story

Our “Love” Instrumental Track is definitely inspired and heavily influenced by Disney and Hollywood. From Sleeping Beauty to The Notebook, these entertainment giants find a way to strike a cupid’s arrow straight into our hearts, sucking us to indulge every possible romantic fantasy our minds could imagine. There is something addicting about two people falling in love and living happily ever after.

Am I right? Tell me someone who doesn’t love a romantic story with a happy ending.

Here is one you definitely have not heard of before.

This story is about a boy and a girl who were from opposite ends of the earth.

Then the most miraculous thing happened. The boy and girl somehow crossed paths at the most unlikely place - the church. They talked. They laughed. They played. Instantly, they both were head over heels for each other. But they both played it cool and waited. And just as they were leaving the venue, they exchanged numbers because the boy pretended he did not have a Facebook.

Just as when the girl didn’t think too much of what happened, things got interesting that evening when she received a text. It was from the boy and it wrote, “Do you believe in love at first sight?” She thought about it and laughed, then immediately responded, “Love is a strong word.” She thought since she just met this guy and she would need to return to the other side of the world in a week, this boy could just be a “nice guy”.

Yet, he wasn’t going to go away easily so she agreed to meet. Every evening after work, the boy made an effort to meet the girl. Whether it’s for dinner, bowling, billiards, ping pong, movies, or a late-night snack; he did whatever he could to make an impression. Something peculiar and different about her. He can share his deepest darkest secrets and perhaps it wouldn’t matter because she would be gone anyway. Nevertheless, he felt accepted. They talked all day and night. They were inseparable. They had the 4Cs for a healthy relationship - Communication, Connection, Chemistry, Compatibility.

However, the day came when the girl had to go back home to the other side of the world. The boy promised her that he would come to find her. She promised she will wait for him but in her heart, she questioned whether this was even possible. He knew how she really felt and he reassured her that he will make it happen no matter what. Then she had to go and right before she left him, she asked, “What do we call this?” He said, “I don’t know?” Then they both said while giggling out loud, “ Love at first sight?”

When the girl returned home back to the other side of the world, her family and friends knew something was different. She was out of place. She was afraid to tell anyone what happened because no one ever believed it. The people told her she was crazy and they would require a miracle. Yet, she was patient and never gave up on the boy coming to find her.

While on the other side of the world, every day since the girl left, the boy contemplated, “What if I go? What do I have to lose?” He thought about his entire life was being in the city and going would mean letting everything and everyone he knew go. Everyone thought he was crazy. However, he knew deep inside his heart, there was something different this time around. Maybe it’s more than just love? Maybe it's a calling or perhaps a conviction? All of this didn't matter because he knew he would need to take a step of faith to find out.
